Our music ministry at South Calgary needs you! If you have music skills (play an instrument or love to sing) please consider giving your time and talents this fall. If you don't have music skills, come, learn about worship! We meet every Tuesday night, starting Sept 10th, with an Open Session from 6:15pm-7:15pm and our Sunday rehearsal from 7:30-8:30pm. We are all called to worship, and music is a great way to do so. Our Tuesday night sessions provide opportunity for anyone to come and learn more about worshipping God through music.
For those of you who don't sing or play an instrument Tuesday night open session (6:15-7:15pm) is a great opportunity to come and learn about the songs we sing and develop an appreciation for music's role in our faith. We spend time singing, learning about hymns, reading God's word and praying together.
For those of you who do sing or play at any level open session is an opportunity to share your gifts and talents with others who are learning, to grow your own skills and to meditate together on how music and God's word intersect.
Our Sunday rehearsal time (7:30-8:30pm) is an opportunity for us to train up future leaders and craft the service music together each week. This session is by invitation, so if you would like to become a regular member of the service music team please talk to Tawnya. Opportunities are available for volunteering 1-3x per month.
