We thank God for the past year. The Russian-language ministry has areas where it is developing well. Every Sunday service brings together 90-100 people, and sometimes up to 150 people come to holiday potluck meetings. This year we have founded 5 home groups that meet twice a month in different areas of Calgary. These groups are attended by 50-60 people. We regularly hold separate meetings for the women of our church, for men, for married couples, and for seniors. We have three areas for our younger generation - children, teenagers, and youth.
This summer we held two nature trips for children and teenagers. For the purpose of spiritual growth and education, we regularly hold seminars and retreats. This year we had a water baptism, where 10 people were baptized. Unbelievers are always present in our congregation. The goal of our ministry is to bring people to Christ, to their maturity and to service.
We pray for new ministers for our church, that the Lord would call people to serve Him. We pray that the newly arrived people would be able to easily adapt to the new place. We pray that the Lord would open up opportunities for us to preach the Gospel to the Russian-speaking people of Calgary.
